Alkagesta said it took part in the II Annual Central Asia Oil & Gas Forum in Tashkent on 15 and 16 October, represented by its CIS Regional Trader, Javid Guliyev. In an account of its participation, the company described the gathering as a meeting of energy industry leaders, policymakers and investors focused on changes affecting Central Asian energy markets.

The company’s account identified regional energy cooperation and supply-chain efficiency as the central themes of the 2026 programme. Discussions covered oil and gas reserves, production strategies and the infrastructure supporting cross-border trade. Refining capacity and access to markets were also on the agenda, placing both the production and movement of energy supplies within the forum’s scope.

Investment, risk management and the development of public-private partnerships across Central Asia formed another part of the programme, according to Alkagesta. These subjects sat alongside sessions on logistics and trading routes, with the two-day event addressing questions spanning energy resources, infrastructure and the arrangements through which regional projects and commercial activity are supported.

Alkagesta presented the forum against a backdrop of changing transport corridors, regulatory developments and Central Asia’s expanding place in international supply chains. It said the region was also taking on a greater role in global energy security. Those assessments formed the company’s explanation of why discussions about cooperation, logistics and market access were relevant to the region’s energy sector.

For its own operations, Alkagesta linked attendance to the importance it places on Central Asia within its wider regional business. The company said it has an active presence in CIS markets and a petroleum-products trading platform covering approximately 48 countries. Its account emphasised participation in regional dialogue rather than reporting a transaction, investment commitment or new partnership arising from the Tashkent gathering.
