Alkagesta says it has completed its first truck-to-vessel marine fuel delivery in Constanța, Romania, supplying 50.164 metric tonnes of marine gasoil from two trucks on 2 October 2026. In a statement on its website, the company described the operation as an extension of its distribution capabilities in Romania and the wider Black Sea energy market.
The delivery introduces truck-to-vessel supply to Alkagesta’s Romanian operations. According to the company, Romania has become more important to its regional petroleum products and biofuels business during 2026. The Constanța transaction forms part of a wider expansion outlined in the statement, which also covers aviation fuel distribution in Europe, crude oil deliveries to the Far East and marine fuel trading through Singapore.
Earlier in 2026, Alkagesta said it gained access to the NATO Central Europe Pipeline System and began delivering Jet A1 fuel to the European aviation market. The company described conditions at the time as marked by acute supply pressure, with greater military use of the pipeline complicating civilian fuel distribution. It also reported completing its first crude oil transactions during the period, including the delivery of approximately 1.07 million barrels to the Far East, with responsibility for the delivery from start to finish.
In European biofuels, the company reported securing a multi-year storage agreement at Pantank in Antwerp, alongside a five-year offtake agreement for used cooking oil feedstock. Alkagesta presented these arrangements as strengthening its role across the European biofuels supply chain, alongside the petroleum products activity described in its update.
The statement also put monthly marine fuel trading volumes at Alkagesta’s Singapore hub at approximately 250,000 metric tonnes during its first full year of operations. Separately, the company said its fertiliser desk was operating amid substantial supply-chain disruption and food-security pressures affecting global agricultural markets. Those activities provide the broader commercial backdrop to the new Romanian delivery capability.
